New Year, New Color Palette!
Fae said that the colors on this site were "eye-gougey". So I swapped Red for Coral, and Chartreuse for RebeccaPurple! I think it's very Web4.0.
Less apparently, this site is now "boosted" by HTMX (https://htmx.org)! What does that mean? It means Hypermedia(tm)!!!
I had to fix a couple things to make it work with HTMX; firstly there is no anymore because HTMX doesn't seem to care for those. That doesn't matter much because I was doing progressive enhancement anyway, so this site always worked without JavaScript, I was just being pedantic.
Second, I had to find a different way to animate the colors because using `currentColor` would cause the text colors to become mismatched with the background due to the way that `hx-boost` works. I just switched to animating a CSS custom property declared using `@property` which isn't supported by Firefox (so if you're in FF, sorry about the funky text colors, get a better browser!)
This lead to another problem; it turns out that you can't animate a custom property that it being applied to the `color` of a `a:visited`. That's because assholes use that to spy on your browser history. This is why we can't have nice things.
Anyhow, fancy color animation has been updated for 2024! Now to fix the rest of this janky site 😝
